The annual critique session in which both illustrators and writers participate was a great success. A number of really good writing projects and illustrations were presented. Marjorie, our RAE and Sam IC offered very helpful critiques to the illustrators. Elaine and the rest of the group made the writing critiques a constructive and encouraging experience.
There were also wonderful opportunities to network
It was a special delight to see Marjorie and Elaine used the opportunity to formally congratulate her on becoming an RAE and to had her a taken of the appreciation of the group.
The Picture Book Book Club met after a delicious lunch. It was Marjorie’s turn to buy books and as usual she was able to give an incisive analysis of the books and the illustrators. We hope that more of the illustrators will join the group – if in doubt speak to Lynette!
